FUSBA. The Sta. Bárbara Disabled Labour Foundation is an organisation formed by Empresa Nacional Hulleras del Norte, S.A. (Hunosa). Its staff is made up of disabled workers (physically, mentally and sensorially) supported by technical, commercial and social management. The Foundation sells its products under the name "FUSBA", taking on different activities aimed at the industrial, chemical, mining and healthcare sectors.

INSTITUTO PARA LA REESTRUCTURACIÓN DE LA MINERÍA DEL CARBÓN Y DESARROLLO ALTERNATIVOS DE LAS COMARCAS MINERAS, was created under the 66/1997 Act of 30th December to constitute the managing body of the "aid system for coal mining and alternative development of mining areas”. This system stems from the Coal Mining and Alternative Development of Mining Districts Plan 1998-2005 signed by the Ministry of Industry and Power, the Unions FIA-UGT and F.M. de CC.OO. and employers in July 1997.
The institute is an independent body attached to the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade through the General Department of Energy.
